We came across this Q Shi Q Japanese Yakitori Bar in Olympic Village neighbourhood. The restaurant is an absolute hidden gem, away from the busy crowds. You can hardly notice there is a restaurant by its exterior and the location that is situated.
The decoration is very modern industrial style. In Japan, it’s typical to stop in for a bite and a cold beer or sake before heading home from work. There, you might find yourself at a communal table chatting to your neighbour, or sharing a platter of kushiyaki with friends. Their food is designed to be shared. You can try a little of everything and keep the orders coming.
Their skewers are carefully crafted from the most premium cuts of meats, seafood and vegetables. The chicken tsukune set is amazing and very flavorful. The meats are chewy and tender. Most of the spiciness come from black pepper.
“Sesame crusted ahi tuna”, with spiciness from jalapeño aioli and sweetness from orange jelly adds multiple layers to the taste.
Lobster tail and Waygu ribeye are the must trys!
Q Shi Q is a great spot to chill with its vibrant vibes and to feel the Japanese culture.
